Miracles and merits

It’s Easter, and the theme of miracles feels a little closer to us right now.

I’d like to share the experience of one of our customers.

During last year’s floods, he lost his entire factory and was looking for available production capacities in order to fulfill his contracted orders. He quickly came to the following conclusions:

  • There is a huge number of manufacturers with available capacities — you can just choose.
  • Negotiations often ended with the question of whether he wanted to buy the factories (the “affected” being asked to buy the “unaffected”).
  • In most cases where cooperation was initiated, they ran into fundamental inefficiencies in production.
  • Many companies do not address their poor condition (few orders, inefficient production) at all — they are literally just waiting for a miracle.

I’m not here to say that a MES system, like our own MES PHARIS, is a miracle — it’s certainly not one by itself. It’s a tool, an aid for someone who is willing to earn their miracle through hard work. And then, this tool can help improve efficiency and contribute to securing new — often more lucrative — orders.

It’s fascinating to observe. One customer barely escaped disaster — a miracle, really — and just months after the catastrophe, restarted part of his production, is fulfilling existing orders, and landing new ones. Meanwhile, many other manufacturers, untouched by the disaster, are still waiting for a miracle that won’t come on its own.

It’s a joy to witness such “miracles” among our customers, and truly enriching to be a part of them.

I wish miracles to all who earn them.

Wishing you a peaceful Easter.
