How many dinosaurs are running around your production?

Dinosaurs in production? Yes, exactly. I’m talking about outdated processes, inefficient procedures, and habits that survive simply because “we’ve always done it this way.” Let’s set aside the discussion about how many productions are entirely free of dinosaurs—if such a thing even exists. And let’s skip the obvious fact that there is always room for improvement—that’s a different story.

This dinosaur tale is about something else. Often, and not just in production, we know there’s a problem somewhere, that something could work better and more joyfully. And it doesn’t really matter whether we’re just afraid to admit it, too lazy to step out of our comfort zone, or have simply found some other excuse not to deal with it.

In life, things can be much more complicated, but in production, the solution is actually quite simple. For most dinosaurs, you can estimate the potential profit from eliminating them and the associated costs. And from there, the decision should be easy. Or is it not?

So, I wish everyone success in avoiding extinction alongside their dinosaurs—and in implementing an MES system—preferably, of course, our MES PHARIS, which can help eliminate many of these beasts with ease.

And only then does the real story begin—the one I mentioned at the start—about continuous improvement. By the way, MES PHARIS is excellent for that, too. You have the data, you have the tools—now all you need is the motivation, and you’re all set.

Are you ready?
