BMW reserves the right to implement a state-of-the-art MES production management system in the process. Suppliers to BMW must guarantee real-time data collection, processing and visualisation of process parameters. It is essential to monitor and control quality at each production step. The MES system must enable the parameterization of the production process and track deviations.
The system must offer strong support for managing and controlling the quality of the production process and its harmonization. You are forced to collect and evaluate quality data according to specific KPIs.
The digitalisation of production must also reflect the requirements of specific technologies. There are also demands not only for JIT (just-in-time) production management, but for BMW and Rolls Royce it is also primarily JIS (just-in-sequence).
