LUKOV PLAST SPOL. S.R.O.

LUKOV Plast s.r.o., located not far from one of its main customers – the production plants of ŠKODA AUTO a.s., focuses on the development, production and assembly of plastic, metal and electronic parts and subassemblies. In its more than a quarter of a century of existence, it has undergone dynamic development and could set an example for many similar companies. For example, it has been able to capitalise on its experience and, by all accounts, has successfully completed the production of sun visors on the MQB platform for the Volkswagen Group.

Solution

The MES PHARIS production information system ensures comprehensive production management, both in the plastic moulding plant itself and on the MQB line for the production of sun shades. The support of production processes according to the basics of the Industry 4.0 idea (automation of the production process controlled by the product itself) is exemplarily implemented on the local MQB line. After reading a unique QR code, the production line is automatically reconfigured according to the product variant. MES PHARIS ensures that the predefined parameters are uploaded to the individual PLCs and automatically re-registers the operator to the contextual production command. MES PHARIS also performs a variety of tasks at the individual production nodes of the assembly line, such as displaying the currently approved production documentation, checking operator training, handling non-conformances, input checks, “rework” of sun shades, replenishing incomplete packages, etc. For the final “Quality wall” operation, MES PHARIS provides the printing of labels on the packaging as defined by the packaging regulations. In this customer’s plastics moulding plant, the use of packaging units as a tool for unambiguous production identification and possible traceability is very typical.
